How a live table works
A live table is a real game streamed from a studio. The dealer sits at a physical table with real cards, dice or a wheel, and you watch on your screen while you bet. Each round follows the same rhythm: a short betting window with a countdown, then the window closes, the dealer deals or spins, and winning bets are paid automatically.
You can chat with the dealer and other players at most tables, and you can sit at several tables in one session. Nothing about the round is simulated: the card the dealer turns over is the card that settles your bet.

The games, briefly
Baccarat
The most played live game in Asia, and the simplest. Two hands are dealt, Player and Banker, and you bet on which will finish closest to 9, or on a tie. Picture cards and tens count as zero, and only the last digit of a total counts, so 7 and 8 make 5. You make no decisions once the cards are out; the third-card rules are fixed. Speed baccarat runs the same game with a shorter betting window.
Blackjack
You play your own hand against the dealer's, aiming to get closer to 21 without going over. You decide whether to hit, stand, double your bet or split a pair, so blackjack rewards players who learn when to take a card. An ace with a ten-value card on the first two cards is blackjack, the best hand at the table.
Roulette
A ball spins around a numbered wheel, and you bet on where it lands: a single number, a group of numbers, red or black, odd or even, high or low. The smaller the group you pick, the bigger the payout and the lower the chance. European roulette has a single zero and 37 pockets; game-show variants such as Roulette x1001 add random multipliers to some numbers.
Sic Bo
Three dice are shaken in a covered dome. You bet on the outcome: Big or Small for the total, a specific total, a pair, or a particular triple. Big and Small are the easy starting bets; specific triples pay far more and land far less often.
Dragon Tiger
One card goes to Dragon, one to Tiger, and the higher card wins. Rounds take seconds, which makes it the quickest live game to follow and the easiest to overplay, so set your pace before you start.
Poker against the dealer
Live poker tables such as Casino Hold'em and Russian Poker pit your hand against the dealer's rather than against other players. You decide whether to continue after seeing your cards, and there is no bluffing involved: the better hand at the showdown wins.
Choosing a table
- Start with the simple games. Baccarat, Dragon Tiger and Big/Small in sic bo need no strategy, so you can learn how live betting works before moving on to blackjack.
- Check the limits shown on the table before you sit down. Pick a table where your normal bet is near the minimum, not the maximum.
- Pick the pace you want. Speed tables suit players who know the game; standard tables give you longer to place each bet.
- Watch a few rounds first. You can follow a table without betting, which is the fastest way to learn its rhythm.
Live casino welcome offer
New players in Singapore can take the Live Casino welcome offer: 100% of the first deposit, up to SGD 330, from a deposit of SGD 30. It counts as your one welcome offer, so take it only if the live tables are where you will play. Wagering requirements, time limits and the bets that count are set out in the Bonus T&Cs, and the bonus guide compares it with the other three offers.
Playing live on your phone
Live tables run in your mobile browser with no app to install. A steady Wi-Fi or strong mobile connection keeps the stream smooth, and turning your phone sideways gives you a larger view of the dealer and the betting grid. The mobile guide shows how to add GemBet to your home screen.
Keeping it under control
Live games move quickly, and fast rounds make it easy to spend more than you meant to. Set a budget and a time limit for each session before you sit down, and leave the table when either runs out. GemBet's responsible gaming tools include time-outs of 24 hours, one week, one month or two months. Read the responsible gaming principles if gambling stops feeling like entertainment.
Questions
Are the dealers real people?
Yes. Every live table is run by a real dealer in a studio, dealing real cards or spinning a real wheel on camera, and the result you see is the result that settles your bet.
Which live game is easiest to learn?
Dragon Tiger and baccarat. In both you pick a side before the cards are dealt and make no further decisions, so you can follow a round within a minute of watching.
Can I use a welcome bonus at the live tables?
Yes, if you choose the Live Casino welcome offer: 100% up to SGD 330 on a first deposit of SGD 30 or more, for new players in Singapore. It counts as your one welcome offer, and its wagering rules are in the Bonus T&Cs.
